If your homeschooler lights up at the sight of paint, markers, glue sticks, or anything that sparks imagination, the Mini Makers Art Workshop is about to become their favorite day of the month. Hosted by Colonial Heights Recreation & Parks, this free program gives students in grades K–8 a chance to explore hands‑on art in a relaxed, encouraging environment.
This workshop is designed with homeschool families in mind: flexible, welcoming, and rooted in creativity. Kids can work at their own pace, try new materials, and express themselves freely while connecting with peers who love making things just as much as they do.
What Kids Can Expect
Each session offers:
- Independent art projects that let kids follow their curiosity
- A supportive space where creativity comes first
- Opportunities to build confidence through self‑expression
- Time to socialize with other homeschoolers in a positive, friendly setting
Monthly Workshop Dates
All workshops run 12 PM – 2 PM at the Colonial Heights Library (1000 Yacht Basin Dr, Colonial Heights, VA 23834).
